Artist's Comments
"Hard to see the light" is a expressionist piece, with the media use of conte, oil pastels and chalks and the use of sgraffito on a 600x400 cardboard. It desplays the tension of the emotion of depression. the white rectangle represents a window to the outside world, the hat and jacket represents the person of which has this feeling of emptiness, this is personifioed by the little person within who is crying. the upsidedown figure under the white rectangle is a shadow of the persons former self, and the serpent radiating out from the tear drops, the hold of depression on his life.

 reports, 1d 13h agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
